DANIELLE'S CATS

I named my first cat, Rocky.  He was a really sweet cat and would let me do anything to him, but when it came to other cats, he would kick butt.  I doubt he ever lost a fight.  My current cats are named Wednesday and Pugsley. Wednesday is a white cat with black on her head that looks like hair that is parted in the middle like Wednesday from the Adams family. And her brother is a pig that will eat anything and follows her around like a puppydog and always lets her beat him up. Their names fit them perfectly.

JACKI'S CATS

I was recently informed about your site, and what a beautiful site it is.  I have attached 4 pictures of 3 of my own cats, 2 tux's and 1 tabby.
Cooking Fat is the Matriarch being 12 yrs old and still as playful as ever (when SHE wants to be).  She is the mother of Piddle Paws (Posh to give him his correct name), who is 11 years old and still the baby of the 3.  And lastly, Shafty (aptly named, as she was found at the bottom of a lift shaft).  Although Fat is the matriarch, its in age only, as Shafty is the dominant cat and absolutely rules the household with great delight in doing so.  Piddle has been both mother father and playmate to Shafty, as Fat must have decided when she had Piddle and his 4 siblings, that was it (well she was just a year old at the time and a great mother).  The picture of Shaft and Piddle shows them well at play (and yes they were playing).  Hope you and other visitors to your site enjoy my babies :)  Jacki

MAGGIE'S MOTHER-IN-LAW'S CAT

My mother-in-law has a Blue Point Siamese cat.  He is very big (20 pounds) and has a very long name. His name is "THE CAT".....Theodore Hewitt Edward Cat. We call him Mr.T for short. He is the leader of a household of 13 cats, and boy does he mean business, and that's why I think he suits the name "Mr.T".

TAUNYA'S CAT

I was riding my bike along a river trail and I heard a loud meowing in the bushes. I stopped and saw a very frightened little tortoiseshell kitten. The river was full of fish that were trapped and she smelled very fishy. So we named her Sushi.  Taunya Hadlock

NANCY'S GRANDPARENTS' CAT

My Grandparents' cat's name was Two Below Zero. But they called her Twobelow.  They gave her this name because she was the runt in the litter. She was always a very small cat even as an adult cat.  Nancy and Anthony Goyet

CHRIS' CAT

My cat's name is "Fireman Bob." I named him that because from the moment we brought him in the house he wouldn't stay out of the bath tub or the sink!!!

HEATHER'S CATS

Hello: My name is Heather and I now have three cats.
1. Persian black and white named Boots. He looks like he is wearing black boots.
2. Grey and white named Bush--short for George Bush.  I found him on September 11, 2001, the day the World Trade Center was attacked, so I named him after the President of the United States.
3. My husband just bought me a 1-month-old Persian kitten and I was going to name it Ozzy after Ozzy Osbourne, but I found out that it is a girl so I think maybe Mystique, but I am not sure yet.

PIXIE FAIRY'S CAT

I have a 6-week-old male kitten, it's all back but it will eventually get darker and I'll be the witch who takes care of it. I caught it yesterday, it's a stray cat. I asked everyone what a good cat name would be, and the list goes on and on, some said Blackie, too obvious, and Mystik, na! I loved the movie Forest Gump, but why would I want a cat with a last name? Now there was one other name that stood in the back of my mind, Versache, yes after the great designer, or Armani.  Either way, it's not bad. Still I search like a cat for its food, for the perfect name and I think I like Versache best.

VIRGINIA'S CAT

I found a small kitten a year ago.  He is black and white, and the first thing I noticed about him was the way his ears pointed half way down and straight out.  He looked just like the court jester and is as clumsy and funny as one, too.  He also has the top head markings like the court jester, so there you have it. An unusual name for a funny cat--Jester.  He has lived up to his name and keeps us laughing every day.  He is a joy to have around.  Sincerely, Virginia Wray

VICTORIA'S CAT

My cat was named Shitstey because she was such a pain in the butt. So my parents named her, and she became mine, naturally.  Victoria Worthington

DONNA'S CAT

My cats' name is Tuney up too. He's an Exotic shorthair and has a purrsonality that you have to love. He was once the Shelter cat where I worked and when kitttens were scared or upset he would tune in on it and make them feel at home by cuddling them. He's 14 now and retired but he's still the friendliest.  Donna Ramsay

BABY BLU'S CAT

We found our cat when she was about 5 weeks old.  She was skinny and sickly.  Callie is a diluted calico who had a infection in her throat and she had horrible breath.  My grandmother just kept saying she needed Listerine and it stuck.  Then my grandfather thought it was a stupid name for such a tiny little kitten so he called her Munchkin and that also stuck.  So now this fifteen-pound cat, who is sweet as can be, is now known as Callie Listerine Munchkin, which has greatly confused our vet.

CHRISTINE'S CATS

I found your site when I was searching for a name for my two newest kittens.  You see, I collect stray animals.
I have 8 dogs and now, 11 cats.  I never thought I liked cats, until 1999 when a small yellow kitten showed up in my back yard...I tried for a week to find a home for it, and called it Cat.  Logical....no one wanted it, and I fell in love with it.  Since then, I have acquired two from a humane society, Cricket and Tigger.  Cricket because he chirped like a cricket when he was a baby, and Tigger because he was big and orange.  I then found two kittens, two days in a row, in front of where I work on a busy street.  I must have watched a cartoon, because I call them Fred and Barney.  Fred is Fred because he was much bigger than Barney.  I then found a kitten on the side of the road, very small and black, so I named him Bear, because he was so small.  I found a cat where I park my car, and he jumps around a lot, so I call him Frog.  I then was at the vet having Bear neutered, and a man brought a cat in to put it down.  He said the only reason he was putting it down was because he didn't want her anymore, so I told the Vet to spay her and I would take her home.  I call her Meany....because she is VERY mean.  I couldn't touch her for months, and she spit and hissed at all of the other animals.  Over the months I have brought her around, she likes to nuzzle on my neck now, but every now and then she lashes out.   She also likes to sleep in the upper cupboard in my kitchen...I guess she can see what's going on without being involved.
Punkin was another cat found by my parents, and I took her because the other cat they found, George, didn't like her and beat her up.  I call her Punkin because I got her on Thanksgiving, and she is a multicolored cat that reminds me of punkin pie spice!
My mother found four kittens at her home in Florida, so I took two.  I wanted all four, but she insisted I didn't need 13 cats.  Mothers!  They have been in a back bedroom (adjusting) for a couple of weeks, and have gone from "wild" to greeting me happily when I come in the door.  Anyhow, I have a pure white one with blue eyes, (so far) and the other is a gray with a mild stripe. (4 of my other cats are gray stripes).
After 9 names, I am having a bit of trouble with these two, so if you know of any good ones, let me know.  I am at
saveastray@iwon.com  Thanks!  Christine Wilson
